Mr Ebbs, aged 80, was last seen by his wife when he took her a cup of tea just before 7am on Saturday, at their home in Harold Jackson Terrace, Eastrop.
Detectives believe he left the house and got on the number 76 bus at 7.25am and travelled to Andover, getting off at the town’s bus station.
Detective Sergeant Neal Williams said: “The last confirmed sighting of Mr Ebbs was a t 7.15am on Saturday, when he got onto a bus in Basingstoke in New Road believed to be heading towards Andover.
“The focus of our enquiry will now be to look at CCTV from all over Andover so we can trace his movements throughout the weekend in a bid to find him.”
He urged anyone with information to call 101.
Police appealed for help on Sunday as Mr Ebbs is without essential medication. He is described as white, 5ft 9ins in height and with dark, receding, grey-flecked hair.
